The Company Business

"Unveil the covert world of Area 51, as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) lays the foundation for an unparalleled era of aerial espionage. Initially established to develop the groundbreaking U-2 reconnaissance plane, Area 51 evolved into a hub for the CIA's newly formed Directorate of Science and Technology, charged with creating the successor to the U-2 Angel. Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Bud Wheelon, the Science and Technology Directorate assembles a team of specialists to embark on an audacious project—the design and construction of America's first stealth plane, the A-12 Archangel. Armed with slide rule technology, the CIA's 5th discipline for intelligence gathering pushes the boundaries of aviation, producing the highest and fastest operational aircraft ever built. As the A-12 reconnaissance program concludes with the advent of the US Air Force's SR-71 Blackbird, the CIA's Science and Technology Directorate transforms Area 51 into an unprecedented hub for continued stealth development. Anticipating the end of its aerial reconnaissance missions, the CIA leverages its unique facilities at Area 51, establishing a highly classified technology laboratory and embarking on clandestine business ventures. Exploiting captured Soviet MiG planes, Area 51's special projects team assists the US Air Force and Navy in countering the aerial war in Vietnam. For nearly a decade after its planes ceased flying, Area 51 remains shrouded in secrecy. With recent declassification by the CIA, Barnes, an Area 51 veteran, unveils the extraordinary accomplishments and untold stories of this enigmatic facility, offering a captivating glimpse into the CIA's covert legacy and the clandestine endeavors that continue to captivate the imagination."
